A Southside Story
Growing up on the east coast,
Torian came up on the lap of his great grandmother, Lizzie. She was a warm woman, despite living through the American Dark Ages, and taught him a valuable lesson on life.
“A closed mouth don’t get fed.”
Young TJ took this to mean “never shut up,” and memorized inappropriate jokes to tell his friends in hallways and during inappropriate times in classes.
Torian’s story of becoming a creator isn’t written the same as many others before him. He didn’t stay up well into the night, raptured by cliffhangers and deep character building. It was his pen.
Nothing came close to watching someone enjoy his stories.
Even though he came to realize his grandma’s wise words meant not to be afraid to ask for help when you need it, he never stopped telling stories. Now, he’s just a bit more directed. You can thank the Sci-Fy channel for that.
